 Sorbsan Flat will manage wounds with moderate to heavy exudate. Sorbsan Flat is a calcium alginate wound dressing, suitable for both acute and chronic wounds where a moderate to high level of exudate exists. When in contact with a wound, the calcium alginate fibres swell to form an amorphous alginate gel which conforms to the contours of the wound. The gel draws contaminating bacteria into the dressing along with the wound exudate, whilst at the same time allowing gaseous exchange to take place.
